KISS Themed Cupcakes!

KISS Band Logo Cake!

Apparently he used to be lead singer and guitarist in a rock band. As a surprise she invited all of is old rock band buddies so they could all play live music outdoors together. Since her boyfriend was a huge KISS fan she requested KISS themed cupcakes and a KISS themed cake for the party.

The cake was decorated with silver dragees lined up to make the KISS logo. The cupcakes were decorated with handcrafted fondant KISS themed decorations including the Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Ace Frehley and Peter Criss' make-up, the KISS logo, the devil's horn hand gesture, and a zippo lighter complete with flame.

I so wish I could have been a fly on the wall at that party!

UPDATE: On August 27, 2009 our KISS Cupcakes appeared on Spin Magazine Online!

Pink Princess Birthday Cupcakes

With six weddings in 2 weeks I almost forgot to mention these adorable princess themed cupcakes we made for a little girl's 1st birthday party!

The cupcakes were topped with handmade fondant princess themed decorations including pink castles (inspired by the lovely Blue Cupcake), crowns, wands, frog princes, glass slippers, and flowers.

Lavender & White Wedding Cupcakes

Held at the Sofitel Montreal Golden Mile the colour scheme of the third and final wedding of the day was white and lavender. All 17 dozen cupcakes were baked in standard liners and then placed in elegant white tulip cups. The cupcakes were also frosted in lavender scented buttercream and topped with handmade white fondant blossoms with pearl centers. The bride and groom's porcelain love birds wedding cake topper perched on top of our 6" cutting cake tied the whole display together.

Thank you very much for the fantastic cake and cupcakes. People raved about how yummy the cupcakes were!!! It looked amazing too, especially with our cake topper! Thanks again Michelle and I will definitely be recommending you to anyone who wants cupcakes!!!

Blue, Yellow, and Red Wedding Cupcakes

The second wedding of the day was held at Auberge Le Saint-Gabriel in the Old Port of Montreal. The cupcakes were baked in red liners and frosted with three shades of blue and three shades of yellow vanilla buttercream to match the wedding's colour scheme. At the venue the cupcake stand was setup on a piano in the corner of cutest room I have ever seen and the chocolate cutting cake was topped with equally adorable wooden bride and groom figurines.

Happy Birthday To Me!

Can you think of any better way to spend your birthday than baking cupcakes for three count them one, two, three weddings? I can't! The first wedding on Saturday August 15, 2009 was a backyard BBQ wedding for a lovely couple who came to our Wedding Cupcake Tasting held in February.

Fuchsia & Lime Wedding

After our wedding marathon the previous day Sunday seemed almost relaxed with just one wedding. Held at Suite 701 once again in the Old Port of Montreal the colour theme of this wedding was fuchsia, lime, and white, so we tinted our buttercreams to match.

Apart from the vibrant colours my favourite part of this wedding was the array of flavours which included; coconut cupcakes with lime buttercream, espresso cupcakes with espresso buttercream, vanilla cupcakes with strawberry buttercream, chocolate chai cupcakes with green tea buttercream, and red velvet cupcakes with vanilla buttercream.

In order to accommodate some wedding guests with egg allergies the chocolate chai and espresso cupcakes were made without eggs.

Orange, Blue, Brown, and White Wedding Cupcake Tower

Our final wedding order of the day was also the largest with 17 dozen cupcakes. Held at the beautiful Hotel Nelligan in the Old Port of Montreal the wedding's colour scheme included orange, blue, brown, and white. To incorporated these colours into the display we topped the cupcakes with floral handmade fondant decorations.

On top of the delicious chocolate orange, vanilla, lemon, chocolate, boston cream filled, and whipped cream filled cupcakes we also baked a dozen gluten-free cupcakes and a gluten-free cutting cake just for the bride.

The cupcakes were fabulous ! they looked so amazing – all decorated so beautifully! Everyone enjoyed them! I am so glad that I let you take over the creative part, as they looked beautiful! Thanks so much!
